Fun Facts: The Hidden Costs of Big Boobs

Fun Facts: The Hidden Costs of Big Boobs

Boobs are an interesting topic. Many girls with small boobs want big boobs, and those with big boobs often want them smaller. Each side knows the pros and cons. But big boob problems are real. This big boobs blog covers some annoying things large-breasted girls have heard or have had to struggle with.

Big Boob Blogs

Did you know? Breast size constantly changes; boobs fluctuate by 10% during the month. Hormone changes affect mood and energy levels. In the lead-up to a period, breasts can get tender, lumpy and uneven – this can feel uncomfortable. It’s totally normal and happens to most females.

Did you know? Breast size is hereditary. You have an equal chance of inheriting your chest size from either parent, so sisters may have completely different sizes.

Did you know? Boobs aren’t just made of fat. They are a complex system of glands and ducts, which also includes the nipple. So, underneath each breast is muscle and fibrous tissue that separates it from the ribs. However, after a certain age, your breasts turn primarily fat.

Did you know? Sagging is inevitable. Unless you have corrective surgery, getting older means your breasts will sag over time. Other culprits include gravity, smoking, and sleeping. If you’re a stomach sleeper, consider changing positions. Some reports show that sleeping on your stomach can change your breasts’ shape.

30 reasons why having big boobs is a struggle

A big-breasted woman who can find the right bra for her body type will buy more than one! They’re like gold dust. That goes the same for fashion; if you find a t-shirt or dress that perfectly encompasses your bust, it feels like winning the lottery. Here are some fun points about how having big boobs impacts on daily life.

  1. You can’t wear a shirt. You can, but you’ll have to buy it two or three sizes bigger than you actually are. Meaning it’ll be huge on your waist. Then there’s the worry, without you knowing, one of the buttons has popped open.
  2. Safety pins will be your best friend. Dresses and tops with buttons will probably have safety pins hidden underneath. They are a must-have item. Or, the seams may have been sewn up!
  3. Clothes do not fit correctly. To accommodate large breasts, shoulders, arms, or the waist don’t sit right. Once you find your style, you stick to it.
  4. Long necklaces will get swallowed between your boobs – farewell, adorable pendant; you’ll be missed.
  5. Bras are expensive and ugly. When you find your size, it looks like something your nan would wear. The lingerie has thick straps, a separator that will move your boobs so they brush against your arms, and will have a back wider than pavement. Not to mention the strap marks you get at the end of the day, which are often still there in the morning.
  6. Not all bras are created equally; sometimes, you’ll pay £40 for a bra for it to be unsupportive and unwearable. Or it’ll be a state and fall apart after only being worn a few times.
  7. Don’t even bother looking for a strapless bra. It won’t support you, and you’ll be yanking and pulling it up the entire time you wear it. Hands up, who’s accidently punched yourself in the chin, hard, on countless occasions when daring to wear one?
  8. Also, getting a supportive bikini is not going to happen. You will have to buy separates, too; you can’t buy a set if you need an M bottom and an XL top.
  9. With big boobs, they will only look plump and perky with a bra on. The sagging gets worse every year. Imagine what they’ll look like when you’re 60!
  10. Even with a fantastic sports bra, exercise is uncomfortable. It’s like a workout, just trying to get in and out of it. No matter how supportive it is, you will still get plenty of boob wobble.
  11. Don’t forget about boob sweat. Taking off a sports bra, in particular, is disgusting. In the warmer months, you’ll have to remember to put deodorant on under the boobs as well as armpits.
  12. It doesn’t matter if you wear a roll neck; you can’t hide them. Even the slightest V-neck, you look like you’re trying to draw attention to them.
  13. If you do wear a low-cut top, you’ll be called slutty, or people will think you want them to be looked at. On the plus side, occasionally, you get served quicker at the bar.
  14. You can’t eat a meal without spilling something down them or getting splashback. Eating out is nerve-wracking. Does anyone else always find popcorn in my bra after going to the cinema, even if I didn’t buy any?
  15. Sometimes, men look at your face when they’re talking to you. Not to be sexist, but sometimes women do it too. So many busty girls are told that their breasts are ‘distracting’. WTF!
  16. When conversing with people, if they are talking with their hands, they will occasionally knock your boobs.
  17. An important one, lumps and malignancy can be harder to spot in big boobs, as they tend to be lumpy by default. It’s also hard to tell if they are sore, as they often ache from the weight.
  18. Backache, all the time. In an ideal world, big-breasted women need to have a massage at least once a month to ease the muscles across the shoulders and the top of the back.
  19. People will always think that you are fibbing about your bra size. Why would I lie to you? Why?
  20. Anything that doesn’t bring attention to your waist or wearing anything flowy will make you look pregnant.
  21. Cross-body bags may be practical when you want to go hands-free, but they are awkward. The strap will wedge itself between the boobs.
  22. Seatbelts are uncomfortable. The way they sit across the chest makes the belt dig into your neck, often leaving marks.
  23. Finding a comfortable sleeping position takes time. Sleeping on your back is best, as your breasts won’t be underneath your arms or underneath you. However, only some people like to sleep in that position.
  24. Holding friends’ babies is always risky; they assume you have an abundance of milk in your giant jugs.
  25. You won’t be able to see your feet. Well, you can if you lean forward.
  26. Believe it or not, people will ask if they are real.
  27. Beware the clumsy boobs! Nothing is safe from their wake of terror. So many things will be knocked over or spilt because the boobs have bumped into them.
  28. Walking down the stairs is perilous. You must lean to the side to see where your feet are landing. Running up and down them is dangerous, too. You cannot do it quickly without grabbing the girls and holding them down.
  29. They get bigger during pregnancy and, when breastfeeding, even more prominent again. A terrifying thought.
  30. You can’t hug anyone without pressing your boobs into them. Many big-boobed girls have perfected the awkward hug; it looks similar to the ones on Naked Attraction.

Regardless of body size or boob size, we should feel positive about our bodies and embrace the curves. Sometimes, however, we just needed to rant about how big boobs can be annoying. Have I missed any struggles? Let me know in the comments.
