Want to make more money by shopping online? I’ve been a member of TopCashBack UK for several years, and to date, I have earned over £900 from it. It’s straightforward, and there are no catches. Some of you may worry that it’s an internet scam. Trust me; it’s a no-brainer. Here’s how to make more money with TopCashBack.

This blog post contains affiliate links. If you purchase or sign up for anything from this website via an affiliate link, I will earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
There are several cashback sites and money-back websites UK. My favourite is TopCashBack. I tell all my friends and family to use this website to get fantastic deals. I use the extra cash I make throughout the year to buy Christmas presents. And, if there is anything left over, a new outfit or two. It is the UK’s highest-paying cashback site, and I will tell you how to make the most of it.
How does TopCashback work?
TopCashBack is a website you use when shopping online to make extra money. How easy is it to use TopCashBack? You use it as a search engine to find your favourite online retailer. It redirects you to their website. There will be an about cashback section showing how much you’ll get and any offers. Going through TopCashBack tracks your purchase, and you will earn cashback.
Retailers offer a fixed cash amount or a percentage back. This can vary throughout the year. Once you have made your purchase, the cashback moves through a chain from pending, confirmed to payable – which is then yours to do as you please.
You can even set up Cashback Notifier if you use Firefox or Chrome. The plug-in will help you make sure that you always remember to earn cashback on your online purchases.
Is TopCashBack legit?
Quite simply, yes, it is. It does not affect your usual shopping experience, and you will pay the same price at the checkout. How does TopCashBack make money? There is one tiny catch; they charge you £5 per year as an annual membership. It will be taken out of your earnings, so it never actually leaves your pocket. It is a one-off charge annually when you withdraw your money.
How do you get the cash?
The cashback moves through a chain from pending, confirmed, to payable. You can send the money straight to your bank account or get more from your earnings by turning them into vouchers. These vary depending on the time of the year and the amount. Still, they include Asda, Tesco, Just Eat, Argos, Hotels.com, Halfords, Costa, and other online retailers.
Retailers you can make money with on TopCashBack
Here are some of the common ways I make more money with TopCashBack.
Amazon
Come on, we all buy stuff on Amazon throughout the year! Currently, you can earn up 1.5% on purchases with TopCashBack Amazon. Departments include Echo Devices, Fire TV Devices, Kindle E-readers and Kindle Tablet Devices.
Car Insurance
I have been with the same insurer, Sheila’s Wheels, for about ten years. But it is always a tiny bit cheaper to renew my car insurance online, and now I get cashback too. If they are not offering cashback direct, they will deliver it through a comparison site such as Compare The Market or Confused. This year I got back £36.75 – more than a one-month payment.
Clothes
I have to admit I am an online shopper. I hate going clothes shopping and would rather try them on in the comfort of my own home. Last year I bought from Shein, New Look, Dorothy Perkins, ASOS, Boohoo, and even George.
Dominos
That cheeky Two for Tuesday or weekend takeaway may put pounds on your hips but back in your wallet too. The first time you use it, you get 4% cashback; after that, it is 1%.
Holidays & Travel
You can get cashback for airport parking, booking flights, car hire, travel insurance or travel money. More significant earnings come from booking a package holiday with providers such as TUI, On The Beach and First Choice. You can even get cash back on days out!
Catch the train to work every day? The Trainline is on there, giving existing customers 0.52% cashback on online ticket purchases. It may not seem like a lot, but imagine what you would get back in a year.
Hotels
Many of the bigger ones are listed if you often go away for the night and use chain hotels. Now and again, we go to see our friends in Cheadle, Manchester and the closest hotel to them is The Village. For a stay in April, I am getting £6.40 cashback. Other hotel cashback companies include Booking.com and Expedia TopCashBack.
White Goods and Homeware
We bought our first house in August and needed everything for the kitchen. I purchased a dual-range oven, American-style fridge freezer, steam iron, washing machine and tumble dryer. Our cashback came to £46.61.
Whilst on the subject of adulting, there are other home things you can get TopCashBack on. Such as home emergency cover, landline phone broadband, home insurance, mobile phone offers and life insurance. You can even get cashback credit cards.
Other Things
I have even had cashback on retailers that I did not think would be on there. I have had money back from Ancestry for my yearly subscription and my DNA kit, Moonpig, Whipsnade Zoo, Groupon and Wowcher.
Store Cashback
You can also earn TopCashBack when shopping in an actual shop. Before heading off, double-check your favourite stores and see if they have any vouchers you can download and use at the till. Sometimes, you can even get some for Primark.
Gift Cards
Yes, you can even earn cashback when buying gift cards. Choose the value of your gift card, receive it immediately via email, and spend it in-store or online. Plus, get money back. For example, If you do your weekly shopping with Asda, you know it will cost you £50. Buy a gift card and get 2.5% – £1.25 each week. That’s an extra £65 for the year.
Should you sign up?
Yes! It is a no-brainer. This is an easy win if you are looking for ways to save money. It does not cost you anything and is very simple to use. I have never had any TopCashBack problems. Please feel free to ask me any questions you might have. I’ll be more than happy to help! Leave a message in the comments.
